We just discovered that some of the UltimateBet Direct Entry Satellites have not been getting captured over the past couple weeks. The issue has been resolved, but if you discover that you have not received credit for any of these tournaments (or any tournament in general), please let us know about it by sending us an email to: thepokerdb@bluffmedia.com.

During an upgrade, we experienced an issue with redirects on our web servers this morning for about 4 hours. This caused the player profile pages and the ranking pages to display the 404 error page when attempting to hit these pages. I sincerely apologize for the inconvenience.

5/13/2008 9:29 PM - FullTilt Refill
Full Tilt Poker released new software on May 1st, and it created an error with the way that our programs were processing the collected data. To eliminate the discrepancy, we are deleting all of those tournaments and results and refilling the database with the corrected data. We started the process at approx 9:00 PM EST. It should be completed within a few hours. There will be no data gaps.
Additionally, we"ll have to re-run rankings for the entire month of May. Look for that update before the end of the week.

The website went down for about 20 minutes this evening at around 7:45 PM EST. We experienced a technical issue while upgrading server equipment. We apologize for the delay.

4/29/2008 12:12 PM - PokerStars Scraper Delay
We put another 2 servers in place for even more redundancy with grabbing PokerStars tournament data. There have been a few growing pains associated with the additions. As a result, the PokerStars tournament information is slightly behind with posting results. It will all be caught back up later today. Thanks for the patience.

4/15/2008 1:17 AM - PokerStars SnG Data Gap
We experienced a server issue for a few hours yesterday. Since multi-table SnG"s do not stay in the lobby for an extended period of time, we may have missed a couple of multi-SnG"s for about a four hour period. If you find that we"ve missed one of your SnG"s, just send us an email (thepokerdb@bluffmedia.com) with the tournament ID.

We've just added the functionality required for the online player's rankings tab. Just click on each individual player's RANKINGS tab to see their ranks in each category & level. Here is a sample: PearlJammer. With the next release, users will be able to see a player's monthly performance per rank category and level.

There was a slight glitch discovered in the processing of monthly online poker rankings. The glitch affected the February and March Monthly ranks. This is why you may have noticed the points for either month change on April 4th.

We've made several changes to the Online Tournament Schedule Page. Users now have the ability to filter by site, game type and buy-in level. Sites now included are PokerStars, Full Tilt Poker, Absolute Poker, UltimateBet, Bodog Poker, Carbon Poker and T6 Poker. Doyle's Room will be added within the next couple days.

Due to a recent change in the PokerStars interface, the Buddy List and Upcoming Tournaments for PokerStars are currently inoperational. They"ll both be back up within the next few days.

2/19/2008 2:23 PM - PokerStars on Sunday 2/17
Due to the PokerStars server crash on Sunday 2/17, certain PokerStars tournaments will not be included in thepokerdb due to technical issues related to the crash. Some of the tourney ids include 76869997 and 76869999. There may be additional ones that we"re unaware of at this time.

1/28/2008 1:42 PM - UB Delay!! Please read.
You may notice a delay in UB data. The tournament feed that we receive from UB has been delayed for reasons unknown to us. Certain events may come in, but we know that our UB database is not currently complete or accurate. Please bear with us as we try to resolve this issue with UB! Thanks.

On an intermittent basis, Bodog scores may be delayed for as much as a few days at a time. We are, however, collecting every event and each tournament will eventually be inserted into thepokerdb. Thanks for understanding!

There is a known problem with the Date Filter on the Player Summary page in Firefox. For some users, it will return you to the landing page. This issue has been resolved. We apologize for the inconvenience that it may have caused.

1. AP tournaments sometimes only show the top 9 paid.
2. FTP game types are sometimes not assigned.
We are aware of both bugs and we are actively working on ways to solve them.

We"ve have pulled the Bodog Upcoming Tournaments data for technical reasons. We"ve been in contact with Bodog about receiving a direct feed, but for now, only PokerStars and Full Tilt will be in our upcoming feed.

In 2008, BLUFF will introduce a rankings system that will use the data contained within thepokerdb to award a "BLUFF Online Player of the Year." We will announce the categories in 2008, but you can become eligible by linking your player names here. Players of all buyins and game types will be eligible, so everyone can participate! The current rankings points formula is here.

1. $4 "25 Seat Guaranteed" tournaments on Bodog do not always record correctly the first time.
2. UltimateBet 10th place finishes are incorrectly not counted as final tables.
3. 9th places in Stud are incorrectly counted as a final table.

For most sites, we use proprietary data capture software to gather tournament results. Starting in November 2007, we switched to a direct data feed for Ultimate Bet. This means that sometimes Ultimate Bet will go as long as about 24 hours in between updates, so you may notice delays. However, this change will also increase our accuracy and completeness for Ultimate Bet events.
