If winning a World Series of Poker bracelet is on your to-do list you may want to add another item to that list: Attend WSOP Academy. And if you’re a female poker player your next opportunity is right around the corner.

The WSOP Academy Ladies Only Event is slated for June 6-7 at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas and will feature instruction from Annie Duke as well as a special course from poker tells expert Joe Navarro. Following the Ladies Only theme Navarro will focus his teaches on female-specific non-verbal behavior.

Last year Sally Anne Boyer attended the Ladies Only event in June and won the WSOP Ladies World Championship only days later.

"The WSOP Academy gave me the confidence I needed at the table and taught me key concepts that I was able to put into action right away in the tournament, like pot odds, table demeanor and what to look for when reading someone," said Boyer after her record-setting win, which netted her $262,077 in cash.

On top of world class instruction attendees will be given the opportunity to play in a tournament at the end of camp that will award the top four finishers with a $1,500 entry into the WSOP event of their choice. Camp organizers feel that Boyer’s accomplishment is only the beginning for those who come to WSOP Academy events.

"The fact that we had a novice poker player go straight from our academy to become a World Champion two days later is a testament to the level of instruction Annie Duke and all of our instructors offer our participants,” said Brandon Rosen of Post Oak Productions, the company that produces the
WSOP Academy. “We’re expecting to see more WSOP Academy grads go on to win bracelets in 2008."

The cost of the event is $1,699. Space is limited to 100 participants, and the event is expected sell out well in advance. Additional details for this event and all other Academy events are available at www.wsopacademy.com or by calling 1-800-989-WSOP.
