UltimateBet has announced that it has signed James “POKERPRO33” Campbell to its newly created Star Players team.

Campbell with join Cliff "Johnny Bax" Josephy on the Star Player team, which UltimateBet says is "reserved for those who possess a high level of skill, exhibit lots of integrity and are well respected in the world of online poker."

The announcement follows the resignation of Bluff Magazine columnist Eric "Rizen" Lynch, who signed with the Star Player team in early June and parted ways less than a month later.

"After a lot of reflection and thought, I have decided to separate myself from the Ultimate Bet brand," Lynch posted on his blog, www.rizenpoker.com. "At this point in time I just believe that the things I''m trying to accomplish in my career are not in sync with the Ultimate Bet brand."

Campbell is a 25-year-old former financial planner from Worcester, Massachusetts. He decided to play poker professionally after exceeding his annual salary in a single day playing poker. Campbell has since earned millions online and more than $200,000 in live tournaments.

"UltimateBet is now home to a couple of online poker’s most talented and most respected players,” stated Annie Duke, UltimateBet’s Cardroom Consultant. “Our growing Star Players team is proof that UltimateBet is in a class of its own.”
