Online poker players will have the chance to help out the Urban Health Institute, a non-profit organization that specializes in medicine and medical equipment in response to natural and man-made disasters, by playing in a charity tournament at CakePoker.com.

The event, hosted by Poker101a.com will have a $1 buy-in plus a $5 fee. The buy-in goes to the prize pool and the fee goes directly to the charity. CakePoker has added $100 to the prize pool. Anybody can register for the tournament which is located under the Private Tab in the tournament lobby.

The Urban Health Institute and the poker industry have a long-standing friendship. The Urban Health Institute has their annual Celebrity Poker Tournament & Casino Night at the Playboy Mansion every year. This year the event will be held on May 17, 2008 and be hosted by 2006 World Series of Poker Main Event champion and Bluff columnist Jamie Gold and reality television personality Khloe Kardashian
