With four tournaments all guaranteed to have a $1 million prize pool the Asian Poker Tour is sure to attract some big names. The 2008 APT season kicks off later this month in Manila, Philippines with a $2,500 buy-in event.

Steve SungQuinn Do and Nam Le are already confirmed to be in Manila for the tournament which starts May 27. The event will be held at the Dusit Thani Manila Hotel and hometown players are expected to make up one-third of the field.

The APT was recently acquired by AsianLogic, a gaming company focusing on the online and land-based markets in Asia. The tour will be four events this year with plans to expand to six for 2009.

The other three events on the APT this season are Macau in August, Seoul in October and Singapore in December. For more information or to register for APT Manila visit the official Asian Poker Tour website.
