Iron Henry wins the Sunday Million!
When heads-up play began Iron Henry found himself with just over 12 million more chips than ShankingYou. The notion of a chip chop was dismissed and the two played heads-up until ShankingYou had closed the gap to only a few thousand right before a break in play. At that point the two players agreed to an even chop of $133,421.20 each with $30,000 left to play for. It wouldn’t take long for the final hand to come.
Blinds were 700,000/1,400,000 (140,000 antes) when ShankingYou, outchipped 2-1, raised to 2,800,000 and Iron Henry moved all-in. ShankingYou called and showed Kh 8c while Iron Henry showed Qc 3d. The flop of 6h Ts 4c was safe for ShankingYou and the 6s on the turn was harmless. But on the river the 3s hit the board sending Iron Henry and additional $30,000 in cash and the title of Sunday Million champion.
