The third event of Full Tilt Online Poker Series VII, the first shootout event of the series, featured a prize pool of $364,500 with “BOP B 3AKOHE 1” taking home $76,545 for his first place finish.
"Davidp18" finished second and took home $51,030.00. The shootout format requires each player to win their table before moving on to the next table. The only two red Full Tilt pros to advance to the second round were Mike Matusow and Erick Lindgren, who ended up at the same table in the second round. Neither player was able to advance to the final table with Matusow going out before Lindgren.
The shootout format is new to Full Tilt and the event was originally listed as one of three mystery events until late last week when the shootout format was unveiled. Event #8 ($500+$35 heads-up no-limit hold'em) and Event #17 ($200+$16 six-handed no-limit hold'em) will both use the shootout format.
