The first of 24 events that make up the seventh running of the Full Tilt Online Poker Series was a $200 + $16 No Limit Hold’em tournament that attracted a field of 4,158 players.
Playing under his Full Tilt screenname “the guru 11” Isaac Baron bested the field and took home the $158,852.23 first place prize as well as the golden avatar that comes with winning an FTOPS event. The six-figure payday comes three weeks after his fourth place finish in the European Poker Tour Grand Final where he earned $932,692.
Finishing second was “dan_dada” who took home $97,297.20. The top finish by a red Full Tilt pro was an 18th place performance by Scott Fischman.
Event #2, a $240 + $16 Pot Limit Omaha Knockout tournament, goes Thursday at 2 pm ET while the third Event #3, a $500 + $35 No Limit Hold’em Triple Shootout, starts Thursday at 9 pm ET.
