The second incarnation of the Bodog Poker Open starts Sunday with two tournaments and culminates a week later with the $300,000 Guaranteed BPO II Main Event.
The BPO II consists of a total of 14 events, eight of which have been dubbed “Championship” events and another six which will feature Team Bodog Pros and Featured Players as bounties.
The first event, schedule for Sunday 2pm ET, is a $100 + $9 No Limit Hold’em tournament with champions from BPO I returning as bounties. Any player who knocks out “3pounder”, “PckAces”, “foldpreflop85”, “bigcatfish” “phatcat” or any of the following Team Bodog Featured Players “ari”, “nevertilt22” and “head2782” will earn T$109 to be used in any BPO II Main Event satellite.
The first “Championship” event, $50 + $5 No Limit Hold’em (w/rebuys), is Sunday at 4pm and will replace the usual $100,000 Guaranteed tournament. Players start with 2,000 chips and Bodog is adding $10,000 to the prize pool. For the Main Event, on October 5, players will start with 10,000 chips and the prize pool is guaranteed to be at least $300,000.
