Poker superstars Jamie Gold, David Benyamine and Kenny Tran are among some of the big names who will be at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Poker Lounge this weekend as Dream Team Gaming debuts the team poker tournament Dream Team Poker.
Giving emphasis to how a team of players performs overall while still rewarding individual play Dream Team Poker is hoping to change the tournament poker dynamic for the better.
“We are very excited to introduce the Dream Team Poker tournament at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino,” said Chief Executive Officer and Co-Founder of Dream Team Gaming, Daniel Delshad. “We have created a new poker tournament model that will not only entice new players to join the game, but also offer a structured and innovative system for host properties to reach a new market segment.”
Joining the likes of Gold, Benyamine and Tran among the 25 3-player teams are poker pros Erica Schoenberg, David Danesghar, Jean-Robert Bellande and Roy Winston. Hollywood celebrities will also be out in force. Mekhi Phifer, formerly of ER, Holly Montag of The Hills fame and Simpsons writer and producer Sam Simon will also be among the field.
