Atlantic City Poker Player Killed After Argument Over Open Seat

An argument at a $1/$2 table Saturday afternoon at the Trump Taj Majal poker room in Atlantic City has lead to one man facing multiple charges and another man murdered.

Vicente Perez, has been charged with aggravated manslaughter, unlawful possession of a weapon and possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose after the altercation in the hotel’s valet parking area just before 3 pm Saturday.

According to some witnesses the incident occurred after one of the two men returned from the ATM to find the seat he was in just moments before now occupied by the other man. The two started an argument within the poker room and spilled into the adjacent parking area.

The victim, who was stabbed, was pronounced dead upon arrival at Atlantic City hospital. The identity of the victim has not yet been released. An autoposy was to take place Sunday with results released to the public sometime Monday.
