The
Executive Poker Tour, founded by entrepreneur and poker enthusiast Rick Rahim, recently concluded their first tournament and $1 Million dollar cash game, hosted by the
Trump Taj Mahal in Atlantic City.
Playing at the
$100,000 min. buy-in cash table were poker notables
Ted Forrest,
Kenny Tran,
Bill Chen and recent WSOP main event final tablists
Rhett Butler and
Lee Childs. The game also featured a Supreme Court lawyer, a successful record producer, a retired dot-com multi-millionaire, and a construction mogul among others.
Among those participating in the tournaments were NHL legend
Peter Bondra, Bill Chen and
Steve Dannenmenn. The big winner was Lee Childs (pictured) who won the inaugural Executive Poker Tour $2,500 buy-in main event.
The Executive Poker Tour is currently planning events for 2008. All events feature one and two day tournaments with buy-ins ranging from
$500 to $5,000. Structures are extremely player-friendly with large starting chip counts and slow blind increases. Each main event will be filmed for national television broadcast.
The Million dollar cash game will also be organized at every stop along the way. Unlike High Stakes Poker, this cash game is open for viewing by the general public. Any player with the $100,000 minimum buy-in may apply to join the action.
And if you can’t make it to the next Executive Poker Tour event, you’ll be able to see all the action on Dish Network.
The next Executive Poker Tour event is scheduled stop at the Trump Taj Mahal on January 11th-14th.
