• Started Playing (Date): My second year of college which was in 2002. It started out at home games for fun with friends, and evolved from there.

• Long Term Poker Goals: The token to win a WSOP bracelet goal, but even more so to always represent myself and this community in a positive light.

• Poker players that Maria most respects: Daniel Negreanu for his demeanor and humility, Barry Greenstein for his charitible contributions outside of the poker world, and all the grinders who have had the discipline to maintain longevity in this game.

• Other key points of interest:: Graduated from the University of California, San Diego in the summer of 2005 with a major in Communications and a minor in Law.

• Other Notes: Was the last woman standing at the World Series of Poker Main Event in 2007, finishing in 38th place. Playing a lot less poker these days to pursue other passions and interests, which include real estate development, opening my own business, and even singing in a band
