It’s
the AC baby! The east coast gambling mecca is never
short on action. World-class entertainment, the beach,
nightlife and deep sea fishing, Atlantic City has
it all.
It’s a House of Blues poker room. It’s
like you’re playing poker in a New Orleans blues
bar.
Speaking of House of Blues, if you take a bad beat,
stroll right over to catch LL Cool J, or whoever’s
in town, while you cool off.
If you win big and want to hit the clubs, you don’t
even have to leave the building. Club Worship has
two dance floors, two bars, and two floors of private
seating.
It’s one of the newest poker rooms in AC,
opening in July 2005.
Vito Casucci. He runs the Showboat poker room, and
is both a class-act and a Bluff personal favorite.
If have any problems, just ask for Vito.
$200 WSOP satellites run every Saturday.
The Showboat is home to a World Series of Poker
Circuit Tournament. Greg Raymer hosted the 2005 version
and if it’s good enough for the Fossilman, it’s
good enough for us.
There’s no dress code. Grab your baseball
cap, Reebok pumps, and “I’m with stupid”
t-shirt. Anything goes here.
The Showboat cocktail waitresses rock! No…really!
VITO’S CASSUCI, POKER ROOM MANAGAER
“We’re
located right across from the music hall. There’s
250 shows a year that are right there. They cue the
lines for the music hall right out front of the poker
room. From Tony Orlando, to Slipknot, to Eminem, to
Megadeath…we have it all going on right out in
front.”
“The no limit taxas hold ‘em, [is the most
popular game] for sure. The $1/2 game is really busy.
That’s what all the younger people and the college
kids want to play.”
“It’s a tough market with the Taj Mahal,
the Borgata, and the Tropicana that have been the mainstays
here in Atlantic City forever. It’s hard living
right next door to places like that, but we’re
finding our niche.”
