This November marks the one-year anniversary of the birth of a vision that came to be Screaming Eagle Poker (SEP). If you have been following the progress within the SEP camp through these poker-news-from-the-warfront articles written exclusively for Bluff Magazine, then you are already aware of the dominating level of play coming from some of America’s top military branches. In fact, the play has been so good that the question is often raised: Which branch of service has the best players?
Well, we’re about to find out!
We are bringing our league online with a series of tournaments that will be hosted on SunPoker and will remain free, even though a ton of HUGE prizes and buy-ins will be added to the prize pool for the top players. League standings will reflect your level of play when compared to your rivals. A deal is in the works for the top players of each season to compete in a televised final event.
You must sign up on www.sunpoker.com/sep to be tracked. This league is open to all branches of service, as well as law enforcement, fire, and friends and families of each. Go to www.bluffmagazine. com/forum to watch the rivalries grow and represent your branch of service. Take your barracks home game to the next level! This is also your chance to communicate directly with Screaming Eagle Poker players while they serve on the front lines in Iraq; and you can join some of the best poker pros in the world at their favorite hangout. November will be a significant month, with Veteran’s Day and nationally organized events throughout Veteran’s Day weekend. Poker Faces, Inc will be hosting a Southern California Regional Tournament Series benefiting Screaming Eagle Poker and its favorite charity, The Wounded Warrior Project. Sun Poker.net will sponsor the event. Casinos and card rooms nationwide have also expressed interest in hosting similar events to benefit our nation’s heroes. With people like Kenna James, Mike Sexton, Steve Lipscomb and the World Poker Tour, and organizations like Bluff Media, SunPoker, Card-Sharx, and the Poker Players Alliance, we will once again be wildly successful in raising money and awareness for our nation’s wounded veterans!!!
