Special Ops Poker

Bob Jarman is a Special Forces Combat Veteran with over 21 years of service in the US Army. In September of 2002, he moved from North Carolina to Las Vegas, Nevada, where he began a new job of training law enforcement. After the 2003 World Series of Poker Main Event, Bob became one of the Moneymaker baby boomers and threw himself into playing No Limit Texas Hold’em tournaments.

Shortly after, he began to realize that all the attributes needed to be a warrior applied 100% at the poker table, and that there were no known poker pros who had a military special operations background. His experience, coupled with the books and seminars the pros put out, allowed him to progress to a world-class level of play in a short amount of time.

Bob received specialized training in the military on how to determine whether a person is being truthful or deceptive, and he recognized that this information is applicable to poker. Bob has put together an informative class on reading tells at the poker table. Much of Bob’s tells class is well known by investigators and interrogators from law enforcement and the military. Bob shares his experience and insights in his columns, which can be found on our homepage at www.screamingeaglepoker.com.

Bob also welcomes everyone in the poker community to discuss these one-of-a-kind Special Ops Poker columns at our forum, hosted by Bluff Magazine and found at www.bluffmagazine.com/forum.

Meanwhile, at LSA Anaconda in Iraq, the fourth season of Screaming Eagle Poker is proving to be a firefight at the tables! The points race is becoming more and more heated the closer we get to the Sweet 16 Tournament of Champions. The top five soldiers at the top of the leaderboard entering the Tournament of Champions are three-time bracelet winner and current point leader Jeff Williams; second place Thomas Rye; third place Harold Goff; fourth place Thomas Wynne, and fifth place Daniel Hromas. The season-ending points champion and the Tournament of Champions winner will both win trips to the next Screaming Eagle Poker Grand Prize Championship Weekend.

Congratulations to all our military members still in the hunt for this exclusive prize and to all our deployed military members who receive Bluff Magazine: Keep bringing the fight to the enemy!
