Sit-n-Go

June 2008

BLUFF: Tell us, now that the magazine has been on newsstands for a while, how does it feel being featured in Playboy?

JL: It feels surreal. I didn’t think I would ever do something like that. I never thought I would see myself naked in that sort of situation. It’s been really nice though.

BLUFF: How did Playboy come into the picture for you?

JL: It was somewhat of a mutual thing. A few calls were made in both directions, and then they looked at some pictures of me and they did a little research. They initially said they wanted to do the girls of poker, but they didn’t think they had enough to go with. They met me, and it was a done deal pretty quickly.

BLUFF: Was it nerve-wracking stepping in front of the camera for the fi rst time?

JL: The nerves didn’t really set in ‘til I saw the issue. I am not a very nervous girl in general, but they defi nitely came when I saw the pictures myself and even had to sign a few of the issues. I made sure I wore a lot of bronzer, so it wouldn’t show that I was blushing.

BLUFF: No problem then taking the robe off for the camera?

JL: Well, it was a closed set, which made it pretty relaxing. The FHM shoot I did was horrible. It was not a closed set. We were at the Pechanga Casino, and I was in a thong, and [the situation] was very uncomfortable. That was one of the worst experiences of my life. Playboy, on the other hand, is a completely different story. They were classy and professional the entire shoot. They have been doing this for years and years, and they made me feel so comfortable. My mom was there with me, so that should show you just how comfortable it was. Playboy does anything to make a woman feel good in her own skin. If you are born with curves and hips, they love you for that. Your beauty only shines through when you are comfortable.

BLUFF: Speaking of your mom, how did your family feel about Playboy?

JL: Well, they have a daughter who is a professional poker player, so they are somewhat used to it. They have always supported me with my decisions. My father is an entrepreneur and a very savvy businessman. I decided to steer clear of that world. In life, though, they have taught me a lot about integrity. It’s not whether you win or lose, it really is how you play the game.

BLUFF: Did you get a chance to meet Hef?

JL: No, unfortunately I didn’t meet Hef. I did get a chance to meet with Kendra, one of his girlfriends. It’s not confi rmed by any means, but I think the Girls Next Door may want to play some cards in the upcoming season.

BLUFF: Who would be the best poker player of Hef’s lovely ladies on the Girls Next Door?

JL: I’m not going to say who I think will be the best player. I think they all have the capability of being great players. These girls are chameleons. [The girls on] Girls Next Door are very strong-willed classy women, and I include myself in that type of woman. Hef’s girlfriends are the epitome of Girls Next Door, and some of the strongest women in the world. They have the whole package, and if they learned the game, I would be worried to play against them.

BLUFF: Which poker player would you like to see pose nude next?

JL: Well… because I lived with her at the Commerce, I know that she is a strong, stunning, and beautiful woman who doesn’t get the credit she deserves. She was the hot girl of poker before I even came to the scene, and that girl is Evelyn Ng. She is so beautiful she could turn from gambling to the runway if she really wanted to. If she were to do Playboy and have those pictures for the rest of her life, she would be very happy. She is an exotic beauty for sure.

BLUFF: You have a bit of a track record for dating fellow poker players; any love interests to speak of now?

JL: Well, I do have a mystery man right now. He is playing a little game with me, and I like it. He is amazing. He is a very busy man, and I am a busy girl. So we are trying to sort our way through things. Time will tell. There are a lot of special guys out there, so hopefully I will fi nd one of them.

BLUFF: Give the guys some advice - how should they ask you out if they wanted to?

JL: The best bet with me, is not to try at all. I like to ask guys out and be the aggressor. If they try, it probably won’t work. I’ll smile and think it’s endearing. The reality is I am all about people being unique. I am not a fan of pickup lines. If someone wants to go out with me, he will have to go out with my friends and family as well. I don’t do the one-on-one thing unless I am incredibly interested in someone. Sometimes, I do like to date the wrong guy, so I can prove myself right that he is the wrong guy. I guess I like to entertain myself too much.

BLUFF: What is the biggest bluff you have pulled off in life this past year?

JL: The biggest bluff I have pulled off was in a video game, and I love it. Do you want to hear about it? This is how big of a nerd I am. I get a call from my guild-mates; the guild is fate and fury. [Jen then goes into a threeminute dialogue about things that BLUFF cannot even explain: loot, raids, guild banks, paladins, protection warriors, swords...]

BLUFF: What can we expect from you in the next year? Are we going to be seeing a lot of you?

JL: Don’t you want to? (Laughs) I obviously expect a lot in the next year. I don’t have anything set in stone, but I think a lot of great things are going to happen in the poker world. I think if anybody can bring something a little edgy into poker, it’s Ms. Leigh, Jennicide… I’m not really sure why I jumped into the third person right there; I guess it’s the fact that I am an online socialnetworking freak.

BLUFF: Well, thanks for taking the time to chat with us! Good luck at this year’s WSOP!
