why the Hurricane? Because he plans to wipe people out!
Why did we let him pick his own nickname? Because he
is a 6’ 2”, 228lb, eight-time pro-bowler
who won three Super Bowls – and that makes him
scary!
Life after football is good, I’m not sure about
poker. That remains to be seen.
But you are a great competitor…
Cards don’t know I’m a great competitor.
I play with old teammates – guys from my old
town. They come up and we play together. Absolute Poker
came to me and they asked me if I would be interested
in playing in the World Series and I thought about it
and said sure. I think it will be a great match. Chris
Moneymaker was an amateur and he won the World Series,
so it gives everyone hope. In professional sports the
odds of a high school or a college or an amateur team
beating a professional team are not very good. But poker
gives that opportunity. But I’ve been training.
Absolute poker is holding an online training match to
get us ready.
You are going to be the biggest baddest dude in
the card room. How will you use that to your advantage?
I think I’ll do some trash talking. I was famous
for it on the football field and I guess I’ll
be famous for it on the poker table also. I plan to
put them all on tilt. I’m going to try to avoid
the pros, I want to build my confidence.
How will you respond if someone trash talks you?
Then I know I got them them, because that is normally
not what they do. It’s what I do, it’s what
I’ve been doing for a very long period of time.
Poker players are smart, so they’ll probably just
look at me, smile, and keep playing the way they were
playing their hand. When they start talking then that’s
when I know I got them.
