Fantasy Poker Update
Bluff’s Fantasy Poker Challenge continues to be one of the fastest growing fantasy games around. The top 1,000 point earners will compete in the Fantasy Poker Challenge free-roll tourney on May 1, 2005 at 5pm EST at PokerStars.com. The winner will receive the coveted free seat at the 2005 WSOP, and what better place to win your seat than PokerStars.com, the producer of the last 2 WSOP champions? But winning this seat will not be an easy task, as we have noticed several pros getting in on the Fantasy Poker action of late. With a few Fantasy Poker Challenges remaining before the free-roll finale, there’s still time to qualify. Starting chips for the tourney will be based on total fantasy points earned (starting chips = 500 + 5 x Fantasy Points). And with the opportunity to earn over 400 points in each challenge, select your team carefully, and you could enter the finale as the chip leader, and odds-on favorite to win.
If you were late in catching the newest wave in fantasy sports, don’t fret; an all new season will begin in May with the Harrah’s Circuit Tournament – Lake Tahoe. The schedule of events for the new season has not yet been finalized, but the grand prize will certainly be a buy-in to at a major poker tournament. And thanks to our everincreasing list of sponsors, the prizes for each contest should continue to excite fantasy poker fanatics.
Congratulations to Dominoe, Just372, and Cartman123, Fantasy Poker Challenge 1st place finishers, each receiving a $1,000 Poker Stars account (no strings attached). Remember to sign-up and play at Poker Stars to receive bonus Fantasy Poker Challenge points. Bonus points affected the outcome of the last three challenges. It could be the difference between $1,000 and a 500-piece chip set, or a chip set and a bobble head.
Check out the Fantasy Poker Challenge forum to discuss strategy, trade stories, and share information with the rest of the fantasy poker community. This continues to be one of our most active forums.
Good luck, and keep playing Bluff’s Fantasy Poker Challenge (www.fantasypokerchallenge.com).
