We here at BLUFF get a bit obsessed with imagining we are at the fi nal table of the big one, the WSOP Final Table. Who would be at our Fantasy Final Table? Well, I can tell you it would not be Daniel Negreanu or any of his picks. It would probably be a mix of people who have never played poker and some farm animals to liven up the action. I mean we would be a favorite to win, right? When we caught up with Daniel, his list was a bit tougher. Check it out.
Phil Ivey - He’s pretty good at poker and I like playing against great players.
Patrik Antonius – He has been a thorn in my side for a while now and really has my number. It would be the perfect stage to get even.
John Juanda - Part of my original crew with Ivey and Cunningham. Great player, he also scares me into playing better when he stares me down. Scary eyes.
Allen Cunnningham - Tough cookie and part of the original crew. Always wanted to face off against them at the fi nal table of the Main Event.
Erick Lindgren - Another good buddy who has beaten me at two televised fi nal tables now. He won’t let me live it down unless I whip him back on the big stage.
Jennifer Harman - Jennifer, another one of my closest friends, would be great at a fi nal table. If any woman deserves that kind of credit for her play, it’s Jennifer; and making the fi nal table at the Main Event would do that.
Gus Hansen - Can you say, pocket fi ves versus pocket sixes? Not a day goes by that someone doesn’t ask me about that hand from High Stakes Poker when we played a half-million-dollar pot. Sucking out on him for the title would be a dream come true.
Annette Obrestad - First of all she represents the new breed of poker player and is the reigning WSOPE champion. Second of all, I think it’s about time the US changes a lot of their foolish laws. At 18 you can handle an M-16 in Iraq, but you can’t drink alcohol, or play in a poker tournament. Stupid.
