Caesars Palace

by Bluff Staff

March 2006

The TOP TEN things we love about Caesars Palace

10) Animated Roman gods and emperors. The whole Forum shopping mall is full of giant animated stone statues. How do they animate stone? Only the gods know that.

9) Celine Dion. Celine has a permanent home at Caesars. Wait a minute… that sucks! Take this one off the Top Ten list.

8) It’s official: the place looks better than Rome. If Rome had a casino empire to fund it, this is how it would have looked. No cracked marble and statues with limbs missing like in the real Rome – this place has fresh marble, intact limbs, and way more gold accents.

7) Shadow – This bar is soooo sexy. They have hotties behind these white screens and you can see clear outlines of their yayas. It’s like a strip show without having to bring the dollar bills.

6) Great rooms, cheap! We found a 500 sq. ft. room for less than $200 a night. And if you want to add some BLING, you can up that to the Double Bay Suite (1,000 sq. ft.) for about five hunny more.

5) The Red Piano. This is Elton John’s show at Caesars. OK, Elton may be like picking your toes (something you really enjoy, but won’t admit to), but we are man enough to say, “GIVE IT TO ME, MR. RED PIANO!”

4) Four is always a hard one, but let’s just say that Sammy, Frank and Dean used to love this place.

3) PURE. One of the coolest clubs on the Boulevard, PURE has this massive balcony with awesome views of the strip. It’s also got a sweet VIP room downstairs if you are feeling like you need to drop a huge wad of cash on an otherwise $20 bottle of Vodka. I know it sounds strange, but it feels good when you overpay for something, but get to feel like a rap star in the process. Totally P.I.M.P!

2) Shopping – Caesars has the biggest mall you would ever want to visit. They have everything from Nike to Armani, but it’s not so big that you hate your girlfriend/boyfriend by the end of it.

1) The card room. Of course we would say that’s the best reason to visit; we’re a poker magazine. Duh! Here’s what this 8,500 sq foot poker room to has to offer:

The Poker Room
23 main tables • A seven-table high limit area • 33 tournament tables

14 plasma screens in cash area • Ten plasmas in tournament area

Unlike most casinos, which use conference rooms or spread fewer tables to accommodate tournaments, Caesars has its own connecting tournament room. This year, the tournament room will house its own WSOP Circuit event, as well as the NBC Heads Up Championship.

Daily tournaments run twice a day. $80 buy in with a $50 dollar rebuy.

Some of the juiciest games in town. Check out the $1/$2 No Limit with $100 min. and $500 max. or the $2/$5 No Limit with $200 min. and NO max.

FROM THE MANAGER
Michael Matts, Cardroom Manager

“We have an elegant, spacious room. When you come to Caesars, you will get a comfort level that you just can’t find anywhere else. All the feedback we’ve been getting is that our comfort and spacing are fantastic.”

“It’s all about the tournament room here at Caesars. We have a great structure – great starting chips. This tournament is growing into one of the best tournaments, if not the best tournament, in the city.”

“We offer a level of service that you don’t see elsewhere. Friendly greeting, fast cocktail service, tableside dining… it’s just a step above.”
