It’s the social media craze sweeping the nation. Especially the poker nation. Twitter is keeping poker players busy at the tables and giving their thumbs something to do other than ruffl ing chips. Here’s a basic guide for the poker fan on how to take advantage of Twitter to follow your favorite poker players and the happenings in the poker world. First off... What is Twitter?
Twitter is a service that allows users to send and, more importantly, read other user’s updates. The messages, known as tweets, are limited to 140 characters and can viewed on the website or as an Simply head to Twitter.com to sign up and you can follow your friends, your favorite news sites, and many professional poker players. Some of those players use tweets to talk about their daily happenings and give a play-by-play of how they’re running in a tournament.

#2 – BARRY GREENSTEIN User Name: barrygreenstein
We promise you that it’s more than “LOL Donkaments.” Recently Greenstein was at the Bellagio when the PokerStars SCOOP Main Event kicked off. After the minibar lady dropped a Sprite on his laptop, Greenstein chronicled his quest for a new mouse using his Twitter account. Drama!
