Just went over the $10,000 mark last night in my quest to turn $25 into over 10k. I played in the $12 9pm daily doubles on FT and won over $1300. I finished 26th out of 1100+ in tourney B and 7th out of 1400+ in tourney A. I was the best double cash finisher and won a $901 bonus that pushed me over the 10k mark. I'm happy though with the way i played, but i cant help but wonder "what if" my AA's had held up in tourney B where i finished 26th. I got knocked out by QQ with a river Q. Double final tables paid a 9k bonus.

Almost 2 years. Too long! LOL

Perhaps i could have done it faster if i played more cash or risked more in buyins, but it's more important to me to protect my bankroll than to take bigger risks.

NJ man!

I still don't understand why so many play A and don't bother playing B.

Great job. This is a nice reminder for the tinfoil hat wearers that persistence and bankroll management pay off in the end.

Personally I believe bankroll management is THE most important thing in poker. Certainly understanding pot odds and having a good understanding of how to make the most of a playing style is important too, but bankroll management is key in my opinion. Bad runs of cards are absolutely going to happen in this game. I've had several bad runs that would have broken me had i increased my buyins to try to win the money back faster. To me this is what separates the gamblers from the poker players. I'm no gambler...and sometimes I get annoyed with those that dont understand the difference. I track my ROI like an investment banker and my 30% ROI over 2700 plus tourneys clearly indicates to me my method is no fluke.

I don't know whether to shake your hand, or threaten to kill you.

Of course, there's no rule saying I can't do both at once.
