The other thing that got me about the coverage last nite with Moon is when Antonio went for it and tried to bluff him out of hand preflop. Granted Moon hadnt been at the table that long, or so it seemed with the coverage, but, Moon's image was nothing less than a superrock.
I think Antonio is probably looking back on the hand as the critical moment for his wsop, not sure how many chips he bluffed off but I think it was a couple of million.

It was about 3 million, and I don't fault his play there.
When a big stack arrives at a table you acn either get afraid and run away from him, or find out where you are. In this case he got unlucky that the Q hit the flop, but I think he was still lucky that he didn't have KQ or he would have been knocked out there.
Yeah it cost him half his stack, but that probably led to him not getting called later when he went all in over Moon's raise, and gave Antonio plenty of information. I think under other circumstances Antonio would have been able to come back and grab his chips, or maybe not.
Also moon is not nearly as kind/sociable as Phillips imo. And Phillips can win with bad cards, and we haven't seen much of that from Moon.

I was thinking about this last night while watching ESPN.
Personally, I think he is going to tank. A lot of time has passed. A lot of time to over-prepare...realize the significance of the position he is in (and what lifetime players would give to be in his position)...let's doubts in.
I think Shulman, Begleiter, and Ivey will be the final three.
I started a poll at my website. So far 87% think that Phil Ivey will win... would be great...but we all want it so bad... maybe not meant to be this year.

If Moon's true to his word, he's back in the woods and probaby not doing anything to remotely prepare for the Final Table.
Does anyone know how he decided to even go to Vegas and play in the WSOP?
I remember reading that after the Final Table was set, Moon wasnt sticking around Vegas one minute longer than he had to. He was itching to get back to his lumberjack gig.

He did return to cutting trees and finally gave an interview a couple of weeks ago.

I thought this thread was going to bitch about Yang and Gold taking money out of the poker economy. And bashing Moon if he might do the same.
No one ever talks about how much Harrah's takes out of the poker economy. Staggering total - not just for the vegas events not the circuit as well. 4.2% of the total entry pool will be withheld for entry fees, and 1.8% of the total entry pool will be withheld for tournament staff. Just for the Main event of 2009 6494 players @$10,000 each $64,940,000 4.2 % = $2,727,480 1.8% = $ 1,168,920 wsop = big business |

I too feel like Darvin will tank, I think he is going to slowly leak chips and eventually bust out at 4th place. I think Ivey will either get 1st or 3rd.
